UCOL provides a range of courses
designed for various levels of English language proficiency.
Full and part year study options are available and students
are able to enroll into the Wanganui English for
Communication courses on most Mondays of the year.
Palmerston North English language courses start in February
and July of each year. Preparation for English language
examinations such as TOEFL, IELTS and Pitman’s are
available. The English Language schools are located at the
Palmerston North and Wanganui campuses.

Accommodation and Welfare
UCOL can offer students two types of accommodation. These
are homestays or student flats located in Wanganui only.
Homestay accommodation is arranged before you arrive and
provides you with an opportunity to practice your English
and get used to life in New Zealand while you have the
support of a friendly and caring New Zealand family.
Alternatively, Wanganui has a limited number of student
flats available which are situated adjacent to the main
campus. Our international staff are available to help
students with useful information about preparing to study in
New Zealand.
